By using only quality oils that have been derived naturally, oils that our skin recognizes and are similar to our own oil production, we keep the natural cycle of exfoliation running smoothly to prevent clogged pores that cause blemishes.  We skip the filler ingredients that actually counteract the good ingredients.  This all equates to a youthful glow due to even skin tones, clear skin and consistent hydration.

USE: 2x daily after cleansing.  Can apply to wet or dry skin. A little goes a long way.

OILS FOR THE FACE?  REALLY?

This Facial Serum seems to go against the usual advice to stay away from oils in cosmetics.  The advice is still true…stay away from cheap oils in off-the-shelf make-up and skin products that additionally contain preservatives, chemicals, perfumes, etc. When the oils draw deep into the skin, they take that extra junk with them and it results in stripping skin too dry and/or clogging pores.

Using the right, quality and naturally gathered oils can actually solve and prevent common skin irritations, acne, over oil production and dryness because it aids and allows our skin to do its job effectively.  They nourish skin and can break the cycle of product dependence. This reduces the number of items in our medicine cabinet and leave us with glowing, healthy skin.

WHY IS LINOLEIC ACID IMPORTANT IN A SERUM FOR SENSITIVE SKIN?

Acne prone skin is most often deficient in linoleic acid, so it is advantageous to use products that contain higher levels of it.  Our sensitive skin formula was formulated with this in mind.

When linoleic acid is not available in the skin, the sebaceous glands produce sebum with oleic acid.  This usually occurs when we strip our skin with chemicals and our skin reacts too quickly, producing oils as fast as it can.  Oleic Acid is drier and firmer than healthy sebum. This dry and firm sebum can then easily become stuck and form blackheads and whiteheads. We use oils that are high in linoleic acid and low in oleic acid, which will work at helping to clear your skin by providing the much needed linoleic acid it is lacking. This will help prevent future blackheads and whiteheads from forming and help clear pores now.
